POWERLESS!

Not Again.....PLEASE!

Stormy again today and more severe storms are headed our way......

Last week the storms hit pretty hard in our area and we were without power for 3 days......even Internet service.

Needless to say it is never fun to be without Electricity....

"we are so spoiled".

The hubby and I did not mind it for the first couple of days..........we cooked all of our meals (even breakfast) on the grill outside.

 Oatmeal anyone?

SO GLAD TO BE BACK!

Hello dear friends, hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend..........

I have missed all of you.

Just got my Internet service back today......

 Found out a tree fell on the cable line that feeds our Internet.

We were without POWER for 3 days after a bad storm hit this area. Just thankful there was no major damage, mostly trees and power lines down.

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU AND I HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A GREAT & BLESSED EASTER!

BOUQUET OF FLOWERS ON THE BED

Spring is a wonderful time of the year, excluding allergies, with all the NEW birth everywhere.

Birds serenading us with their singing......

Critters of all kinds emerging from the cold winter days.......

BUT

Most of all....... the Beauty of all of the Flowers.....in all colors, shape and form to brighten our days. 

Decorating with Flowers, whether live, in pictures, fabric or artificial.....

It gives us such a sense of a Fresh & New beginning.

I found these beautiful flowered pillow cases at the Goodwill....paid only $3.00 for the pair.

A very inexpensive and  pretty way to decorate with "Flowers" and best of all these flowers will never wilt!

Every time I walk by this room I can see these and they give me a jump start for a great day.

FOR THE CHOCOLATE LOVERS!

I think my co-workers are having Chocolate withdrawals this week..........

I have the solution!

I came home from work and decided to whip up some Chocolate desserts........

to sweeten up my dear sweet friends at work.

 

They are a great group of people to work with......

very deserving of these yummy desserts!

I am not a "BIG" chocolate lover, really I'm not, but I do "love" these Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies.

I always add extra Peanut Butter...makes them so creamy!

The next Great dessert is a recipe I got from The Harward's Circle Cliff Views.

The original recipe is "Pecan Pie Muffins".....

I added Chocolate Chips and baked them in mini loaf pans.

"Did I do good"....Yea I did!

I wish I could share these with all of my sweet dear friends in "Blog-Land" as well!

GODS BEAUTY AFTER THE STORM!

Monday was a terrible stormy day.....

lots of thunder, wind and rain!

We had a lot of "tornadic" weather all day yesterday.........

trees down and lots of houses and cars damaged by the fallen trees and strong wind.

My sister-in-law (the one I told you about breaking her leg a couple of months ago) had a tree fall on her house......Our "Mighty God" had his arms wrapped around her.....the tree came down and broke through the roof right over her head. She was not harmed.....she was just frightened and debris was all in her hair. 

"Glory to God in the highest heaven"

I know there were others this happened to and my heart and prayers go out to all of them!

Later!

I was sitting at the computer and I noticed the sky was looking so bright and fresh after the storms had moved out.....

I got up to look out the front door and I saw this beautiful rainbow......

Grabbed my camera and started shooting......fast, fast, fast!

I new it would only last a few minutes......

When I loaded the pictures on the computer I noticed it was a "double" rainbow......

 Like a Rainbow shining through the clouds. This was the way the "Glory of the Lord" appeared to me. Ezekiel 2:28

 

Just what we needed after such a nasty stormy day.

God knows how to put a smile on our face!

BOY DOES MY HOUSE SMELL GOOD! 

Look what my mom brought me Friday....

She picked these from one of  her many flower beds...don't they smell good!

 I first I had them in several different containers then I remembered that I had this large dragonfly vase up in the attic. When I put them all together I could not believe the wonderful sweet fragrance they had.

I have had such a busy but wonderful weekend!

Our 2 sweet grandsons came to spend the 

WHOLE weekend with us.....

I got "LOTS" of sweet Hugs & Kisses......ALL weekend!

My mom came over to spend the night Friday night to spend time with the boys too. 

Yes, I did share their "Hugs & Kisses" with her, how could I not after she brought me those beautiful flowers.

Saturday morning we took the boys to the Flea Market and then Saturday afternoon we were off to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday.

We had a beautiful warm but windy Sunday.

The boys played outside and got lots of sunshine (Vitamin D) while I did some work outside (way too much as usual).

This is "little man" wearing "big brothers" bike helmet.

 Finding a frog made Kelby's weekend complete (actually he found 2). He has been doing this since he was big enough to walk.  He also loves finding lizards, salamanders or anything else he can catch. He even caught some Butterflies this weekend. He only caught them to show them to me because I love Butterflies, he then let them go, isn't he just a sweetie!
