TRICK-OR-TREAT

 Our Son-in-law and the boys love Halloween....they love to carve pumpkins together....decorate the house, bake Halloween cookies and this year they baked a special Halloween cake.

They made a special "Halloween" dinner Friday night.

 

Witches brew, Witches fingers, Zombie eyeballs and Mummy hot dogs.

 Cutest Little "Rooster" I Have Ever Seen!

Our little Caleb (3 yrs) last year as "Foghorn Leghorn"....
he was so proud of his rooster costume I made him and wish you could have seen him strut around like a rooster...so funny!
I asked him to shake his tails feathers at me and this is what I got.....

I made these last night for the first time and they are so good.....

I will be making more!

These guys are going to work with me today so I will have to make more for home. Grandkids are coming this weekend so I better get busy....I know they will love them.

So yummy......I added the drizzled chocolate for the "chocolate lovers" at work...which I think most of us are.

SO MANY GREAT COOKS IN BLOG-LAND......

KEEP THOSE TASTY RECIPES COMING!

I love this time of the year.....getting ready for "all" of the Holidays.

OCTOBER is a great month to try new recipes and choose the ones that your family absolutely loves!

OF COURSE there are "ole time favorites" that are always served at Holiday meals.

This is one of my favorites and last night I got to craving these "sweet" little things. 
Candied Sweet Potatoes....yummy!

Must add lots of sugar......

DONE!

and of course you must cook them in cast iron......at least this is the only way I cook them.

By the way I brought some to work with me today for lunch...which it is just about time.....

It has turned quite chilly here in our part of the world.....down in the upper 30's at night but very pleasant in the day time...low 70's and lots of "Beautiful" sunshine.

I will take our 30's any day than to wake up to this......

"2 GALS TREASURE HUNTING"

My mom came to stay the night with us last night so we could get up early this morning to look for "treasures".

Us 2 Gals set up and watched one of those "old black & white movies" while dear sweet hubby worked in his shop........then off to bed, we had an early morning to head out to

"Garage Sales"!

But....First things First......

US 2 Gals had to have.....

"COFFEE & BREAKFAST"

NOW .....

Off we go and 3 hours later.....

The back of my Trailblazer was just about full..

 I wish I had gotten photos of all the great treasures she found.....but we had already loaded everything else in her car to take home.

Adorable little dragonfly desk lamp $1 (paint needs touching up).

Another adorable little lamp $3

Love this...only 25 cents...can't wait to put Fall flowers in it and hang on the wall.

Now all this gal has to do is figure out where & how she is going to use these "sweet treasures".
