WOW! What a Beautiful Sunday We Had........

We had a beautiful Sunday here in our part of God's country.....the Sun was out and the temperature was in the 60's.

 The boys spent the weekend with us so my weekend was very busy.....they always make our life bright and sunny even when the sun does not shine outside.

Even though the weekend went by way too fast......I am thankful the weather turned out pretty nice. I was able to get out and rake up some of the acorn shells and leaves that are everywhere. 

At least I know the squirrels were well fed this winter!

I hated to see the weekend end but at least it looks like next weekend will be pretty nice too.
Can you believe 3 days til March......yeah!
I am looking so forward to raising the windows and opening up the doors.....fresh warmer air will be nice!

Getting Close To The End!

Hubby and I went for a much needed hike on the trails.....

 It has been a rough week...my Father-in-law passed away....funeral was Thursday.  He had been real bad sick for about 6 weeks but no more sickness now....he will be missed very much.

The weather turned out pretty nice today so Hubby and I went for a wonderful sweet walk. 

Winter is coming to an end.....Spring is just around the corner.....

Found these by the lake.

 

The trails were beautiful and peaceful....the sky was  clear and the sun was shining ever so bright!

Celebrating!!!!!

Today we celebrated out our daughters 39th birthday.......where did the years go.....I can remember that special moment just like it was yesterday.  

The boys came up yesterday to help me with the B-day cake and help with preparing their mommy's B-day dinner.

Could not ask for a better helpers...little man was helping me make a home made Strawberry cake....he had to taste test drink some strawberries after they were pureed....looks like they must of tasted pretty good!

He is actually a good little helper...he loves to smell of every ingredient that goes in everything...sometimes depending on how they smell he will want to taste them especially if its a dessert. We got the cake done and then it was time for little man to go to bed. I got up early this morning to add the final touches.

Caleb loved helping me with the salad...tearing the lettuce into smaller pieces.....and of course he had to smell of the lettuce, spinach, cucumber, carrot sticks, onion, grape tomatoes....he must NOT of liked the way they smelled because he did not ask to taste of any of them (or maybe because it wasn't a dessert)....he did ask if the grape tomatoes tasted like grapes. 

We had a wonderful and blessed weekend...so glad my mom and brother came over to help celebrate....the boys were glad to see their Great-Grandma and Uncle Don. 

Had a surprise for the boys when they came up Saturday afternoon.....

SNOW..RAIN..SUNNY..COLD..WARM...

Which will it be today.....I prefer Sunny & Warm but we don't get to choose. We get so tickled watching our weather man.....if there is a small chance and I mean teeny tiny chance of snow, he gets so excited.  He is probably having withdrawals because we have not seen any snow since back in early December last year.....poor man! 

 You know there are some things we never forget how to do....it has been a long time but I did it!

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday...only 2 more days til the weekend.....

Our grandsons are true "country boys" and love to go hiking on our property.

Stay warm and if you have snow...have fun and enjoy it....then have a "BIG" cup of hot chocolate to warm you up again!

I took these shots on my way into work yesterday.

The weather has been so crazy for this time of the year...it has been 70 degrees this past week here in West TN....I have seen it come a big snow in late February and early March....just waiting for it to happen.
