God's Blessings....

It is going to be a beautiful week here in our part of God's Country.......

how about where you are.........

We had a full but wonderful and blessed weekend.....the boys spent the entire weekend with us and we enjoyed every minute of it!

By the way did you know that last Friday was National Chocolate Cake Day.....not a better excuse to make a chocolate cake.....so when the boys arrived Friday afternoon that is what we did. Caleb was so excited...he loves to help bake and not to mention....eating anything that is chocolate.

Saturday was a hiking day....it was a beautiful day, a little cool but lots of warm sunshine!

We found some sandstones along the trails, most of them were small.

Boy does hiking work up an appetite.....when we got back to the house we ate and watched some TV together.

Then it was time to go work on my bathroom project.....I had helpers!

Caleb was so funny...while we were taking off old wallpaper that was left behind the sink and tub he said "Grandma this is like Dirty Jobs", now I don't know if you have ever seen the "Dirty Jobs" show but Caleb has and I guess this is what he thought of my bathroom project!

Kelby removed any screws and brackets I had left in the walls and he was so good to vacuum up our mess. Now I can patch the holes and paint.

I Thank my Lord everyday for these 2 wonderful and loving grandsons!

PRAYERS ARE NEEDED......

My Father-in-law is in the Hospital, has been for a couple of weeks now. He really needs your prayers and please pray for his family. It has been so hard on my husband and his brother to see their once very "strong" dad so weak and helpless.

Everytime I have been up to visit him he is usually sleeping, the hospital has kept him somewhat sedated to keep him calm. Last night he was awake but so agitated. How my heart aches, it is so sad and so hard not to be able to help someone.

Not A Happy Camper.....

My weekend got all messed up.....did not get to do what I had planned to do......

My computer crashed Friday night and worked until midnight trying to get it to boot up.....NO LUCK!

I talked to my brother and he recommended a particular computer shop so I took it to them and the repair man told me it was the Hard Drive...which I had already figured that much....well he told me what he could do and it would cost me $89.99. I called my brother and he told me he had the gadget I needed to pull my files off of my HD to save on my external storage drive....ok this went pretty easy...then I RE-Formatted my Hard Drive....it was a weird feeling but I wiped it clean! Spent hours Saturday reloading my Operating System and other programs back on the HD. While programs were installing I worked on our bath remodel job...cleaning the new tile getting it ready to grout....I was sure hoping to get it done this weekend....BUT....it did not happen.

Now it is getting late Saturday...oh about 10 pm...software reloaded and computer booted up....YEAH!

Then I try to connect to Internet.....No Such Luck!

Decided to give up about 11:30 pm and go to bed.....up at 5 am this morning to start working on the computer again. Still no luck so I called my brother to come to my rescue.....I Love my "baby" brother!

Bless his heart he worked all day today and figured out what was wrong and got me connected to the Internet (wired in, not wireless). Now I have to go buy a Wi Fi Card so I will have wireless Internet...I hope!

I did cook a big lunch for my dear sweet brother.....our daughter, husband and the 2 boys joined us for lunch also.

Oh well, did not get the tile grouted...but I will try to get it done this week after work.

Thanks for letting me cry on your shoulders....I really needed to get it all out.

Looking forward to this weekend...the boys are spending the whole weekend with us......Love our boys....lots of memories and pictures will be made.

SAY CHEESE......

One handsome Photographer...and yes I am bragging.....

Grandma's privilege to brag!

Our 4 yr old grandson, Caleb, loves to take pictures (can you guess who he gets it from)....he even loves to use a tripod.

I started teaching both of our grandsons at the age of 3 on how to use a camera, I started with a small digital camera and then we graduate to the "BIG" camera. 

They are both pretty darn good but Caleb loves it a whole lot more than his older brother does. Kelby, who is 9, is more into riding his bike, his rooster (Alvin) & chickens and of course his Wii.

Who knows where this will go, he loves music, he has guitars, keyboard and of course a set of drums that we got him for his 4th B-day.....he is a very creative young man.

Shhhhh...don't tell him but this year is the year he will get his own small digital camera from me...don't know if I can wait until Christmas so he might get it for his B-day, in August.

NO SLEEP FOR ME......

Here I am at 1:00 in the morning wide awake.....hmmmm....what can I do without waking the hubby.....I will go to Blog-land.

Good morning if anyone is up in Blog-land...can't sleep.....too much on my mind. 

OK...got a lot to do this weekend...

I will be grouting the new tile (I hope) we put up around our new tub in the hall bath, then I will start on the walls (I hope).....patching holes and getting them ready to paint. 

I still have a few kitchen cabinets to finish painting...I kind of got out of the swing of things when I got sick a couple of weeks ago...now since I am all better......by the way Thank You for the get well wishes.....I have  to get some of these things done.

I also started painting some book shelves back before Thanksgiving but as the Holidays approached they had to be put on the back burner......now the weather has gotten too cold to finish painting them out on the back porch so I guess Hubby will have to build me a fire down in the shop so I can finish them.

I know it sounds crazy getting too much going at one time...believe me I did not intend for this to happen.

The book shelf project was the beginning and then one day when it was raining and cool and I could not go out on the porch to work so I thought (this is where I usually get into trouble) I would start painting on my kitchen cabinets, not knowing it would be such a BIG job....that's what I get for thinking!

I guess I better say good night morning and try to get a few zzzzzzzz's.

Sneezing & Coughing .....is all I have done today.....

HOME TODAY FROM WORK....Not by choice!

GOT THE CRUD THAT IS GOING AROUND HERE IN OUR NECK OF THE WOODS.

I do not have time to be sick but I guess our bodies slow us down regardless.

Like I said I have done this all day....

one good thing about it, since I did not feel like doing anything...I did get to catch up on some of my blog reading.  

Well its almost time for some more Hot Spiced Tea...loaded with Vitamin C.

After dinner I will enjoy the rest of the day with our sweet grandsons until they go back home. Oh how I will miss them dearly....gotta go back to work tomorrow....but I am thankful I have a good job and good people to work with.
