ON THE TRAIL

I decided to take a walk on the trail to the lake behind our property, it was cold but beautiful all covered with snow. Found lots of animal tracks in the snow, thought I might come up on a deer, fox or something, no such luck this time.

I found lots of tracks on the trail.

 

This whole in this tree is not very deep, only a small critter could have stayed in it to keep warm. 

It was probably breakfast for another critter, like maybe a deer, by looking at the size of the tracks.

View of the Lake, I was hoping to find it frozen but the water was moving ever so gently.
