So its not Dirt yet.........but it will be soon!
First bag has been dumped........................real pretty isn't it.
First bag all covered up with its blanket.............now it can do its thing.
Second bag all dumped in a big pile on top ............. beautiful!
Don't you just love nature!

I covered this one up too with a blanket of dirt..............now it can start working.
Before I know it, I will have a nice pile of RICH compost for my
Lasagna Garden.......
Linda, it seems that you and I have a lot in common. I also have been saving "stuff" (for lack of other word) for my compost pile. We do not have a shredder, though. But we have a friend that raises earth worms (for the fishermen around here), and she used to throw away the dirt where these worms are raised. There is a complex process of raising them.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we offered to buy this dirt and... I feel like rolling on it (like dogs do), when it arrives. It is wonderful (full of worms!) and I am hoping this will improve our gardens this next Spring.
Sorry that I wrote too much. I promise to go slower from now on!
